Joanna and Matthew planned a quiet wedding with family and friends at Weybridge Registry.  They had asked me to come along and capture a few key moments for them at the registry office before they headed off with their guests to the Cricketers for a celebration.  I’m always happy to cover an hour or so at the Registry Office for couples who don’t want a lot fuss but want to capture a few special memories from their day.

I was a little worried about the weather forecast with the promise of heavy showers. I would only have a short time to take photographs and rain would certainly put a damper on the days proceedings.  Luckily the rain held off and I had beautiful soft light to shoot in.

Matthew had already arrived way ahead of time at the Weybridge Registry when I got there.  The Groom was a little anxious and keen to put a ring on his gorgeous bride’s finger.  I had time for a few shots with the ‘boys’, bridesmaids Gemma and Sam, and some of the family before it was time to seat the guests.  Joanna and her Dad arrived in style in a lovely vintage Rolls Royce.  The Bride looked absolutely stunning.  Joanna wore a beautiful soft flowing wedding gown, accented with a bouquet of white roses.  After a couple of shots with her Dad and the bridesmaids it was time to get the ceremony underway.

Civil ceremonies at Weybridge Register Office are always relaxed and a pleasure to photograph in the Rylston Suite. The lovely bay window provides great lighting and a lovely backdrop for photos.  Following the ceremony we all went into the gardens for more pictures.  Joanna and Matthew looked radiant and happy.  An absolute delight to photograph!  I even managed to get a few pics of Joanna’s beautiful ‘bump’, the new arrival being expected in July.  After the family and friends photos I invited everyone to join in for a confetti shot, always a fun picture.
