West Wales Wedding Photographer

Weddings are magical

There is a lot to consider when choosing your wedding photographer.  After all you have spent months planning your perfect day.  I believe your wedding photography should reflect your personality and who you are as a couple.

My style of photography is contemporary, natural and relaxed.  I like to work unobtrusively to allow your day to unfold so that I can tell your story in a collection of stunning photographs.

I work closely with you in the planning stages to look at your photography in every detail.  I can offer you a pre-wedding shoot to help put you at ease so that you are relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.  This is a great opportunity for me to get to know you, what you want from your day and also for you to get to know me a little better.

On your wedding day I want to capture the emotions and precious moments that make your day special.  I am a visual storyteller, documenting your wedding day.  I love to shoot natural, unposed images as well as traditional family groups.  Allowing time for some bride and groom shots, as well as all the little details that make your wedding day unique.

Whether I am with you for just an hour, or to tell the story of your entire day, I want you to enjoy and celebrate your wedding with your family and friends while I create images that you can treasure for a lifetime.

I am based in West Wales near Aberystwyth.  Although most of my weddings are in Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, I travel all over the UK for weddings.

Your investment

A wedding day is a unique occasion for every couple.

A collection of photographs will capture the lasting memories of your day.  Let me tell the story of your wedding day with beautiful and stylish images that you will treasure for years to come.

I am pleased to offer you a range of wedding photography packages to suit your individual needs and budget.

My wedding packages are inclusive of an initial consultation, a pre-wedding location visit with the couple to discuss their wedding day photography in full detail, a secure on-line web gallery to share with family and friends. My all-day packages include a flash-drive of high-resolution image files ready for you to print.

Whether you are booking a full day or just a few hours, you can rest assured that I will capture stunning images that tell the story of your wedding day.

Your wedding images are edited and fully processed for contrast and colour balance.  Images are straightened and cropped if necessary.  Black and white or colour filters may be added if appropriate to the image.  Your final images are then uploaded to your online gallery for you to view and share with family and friends.

Fine art books, albums or other products may be included at the time of booking or ordered directly from your gallery.  I will work with you to create the look and design of your finished products.

My wedding packages suit all budgets and requirements.  Download my brochure from the link below to view my current wedding package prices.   This will provide you with an idea of what I can offer for your wedding day.  Each wedding package can be tailored to suit your individual needs, so please get in touch with me for more details.  Let me know which parts of your day you would like me to cover, how long you would like me to be with you on your wedding day, and anything else you would like to include in your package.

Wedding Frequently Asked Questions

Weddings can be a little overwhelming.  From the moment he ‘pops’ the question there is so much to plan and think about.  Many couples just don’t know where to begin.  I want your wedding photography to be a relaxed and enjoyable experience, so here are a few frequently asked questions to set you on your way…

I believe that there are two very important factors to consider when choosing your wedding photographer. Firstly, that they can offer you the style of work that you want for your finished images. My style of work is natural, relaxed and contemporary.  I like to let the day unfold to tell the story of your wedding, with images that you can share and treasure for years to come. Secondly, you need to feel comfortable with your photographer, after all they will be sharing one of your most intimate days and will be your shadow from start to finish.  If you are not relaxed with your photographer it will certainly show in your photos.  For that reason I like to spend some time with my couples at our planning meetings and pre-wedding photo shoots, getting to know you and all that you want from your day, while you in turn get to know me a little better and how I work.

It is never too soon to start thinking about your wedding photography.

Once you have decided on a date and booked your venue then you really should be thinking about who you want to capture those special photographs. Weddings are a year-round event and are not just on Saturdays.  However, the main wedding season is from April to October and if you are planning a wedding on any Saturday during the wedding season you will need to book early. There are only a handful of Saturdays during this period and I would hate for you to be disappointed because I am already booked.  I tend to take wedding bookings about a year to eighteen months ahead of a wedding date. I can sometimes accommodate ‘last minute’ weekday bookings and will always try to help if I can.

On your wedding day I can be with you for just a few hours or for a full day.  I like to capture every aspect of your day while I am with you, including all the chaos of getting ready, guests arriving, the ceremony, some stunning bride and groom portraits, photos with family and friends, candid shots with guests, the wedding breakfast, the evening party and all the little details.

I shoot with two Canon 5D cameras, a selection of lenses and flashguns.  All images are shot in RAW format and processed after the wedding day.  I love to capture as much as possible using natural light but sometimes venues and the weather do not permit and a flash gun is required.  I am with you to create the story of your wedding day.  In order to do this, I quietly and discreetly shoot events as they unfold.  I always recommend a few group photos with family and friends, but keep these to a minimum as they are time consuming and keep the Bride and Groom away from their guests.

This is where the magic happens… Following your wedding day I can be found sitting at my Mac for many hours.  Each image is individually edited and processed to get the best from each file.  Your pictures may include black and white or other colour processes if suited to a particular image.  Although I am never able to give a specific number of images for a given wedding a full day’s coverage will usually result in more than 500.  These images are uploaded to an online gallery for you to view and share with family and friends.  You will receive high resolution jpeg images ready for you to print.  You will be provided with license to reproduce these image files for your personal use.

If you have included an album/storybook in your wedding package your image selection for this can be made once you have received your images.  Once I have your image choices your book is designed and a proof page is sent to you for approval.  I offer one complimentary design change to this initial album preview after which charges apply.  Only when you are completely happy is the design sent to the printer.

If I am booked for an all day wedding, this can often be ten to twelve hours, a light meal is very much appreciated.  I don’t like to be away from everything for too long so any meal must be served at the same time as the top table so that I can return to the wedding breakfast.  If this is tricky just let me know and I will bring a sandwich along with me.

Following your wedding day, your finished images are available to view and share in a private online gallery.  You can view your wedding previews at our dedicated site Sarah Cook Photography Weddings.  Depending on your photography package, selected images are available for you on a personalised flash drive.  I can also offer a range of beautiful wedding albums and storybooks as part of a wedding package, or as an additional purchase after your wedding day.  An extensive range of wall art, prints and photographic products is also available.

I now offer six wedding packages.  However, I appreciate every wedding has its own unique requirements.  Therefore, I also offer bespoke package options in order to accommodate all styles of weddings and budgets.  All prices are inclusive of VAT.

The first step is to make sure that I am available for your wedding date.  You can do this by phone on 07950 714975 or email at sarah@sarahcookphotography.co.uk.  In order to book let me know your full names, address, contact numbers, wedding date and venue/s and I will contact you.  If you would prefer to meet up initially for a chat, to see if I am the right photographer for you, then please get in touch to schedule an appointment and we can take it from there.  We can either arrange a meeting or chat via Zoom.  Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.  A non-refundable booking fee of 20% is required together with a signed contract in order to secure your wedding date.  This fee is deducted from your final wedding package fees which are payable one month prior to your wedding date.

All my equipment is insured and I am also covered with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
