]]> const searchread_64184fa26fdbb23a086ccb52 = `Zoe and Matthew's Country Wedding Wedding 30 July 2022 It was a perfect day for Zoe and Matthew's beautiful country wedding on the Welsh border.  Perfect couple, perfect setting and perfect weather!   What more could I ask for? I love country weddings.  They have a charm all of their own.  They aren't fussy.  Most often they are simple and relaxed.  They can be creative and provide an opportunity for a couple to express themselves.  Country weddings often take on a life of their own on the day, they rarely run to time and they do present the best photo opportunities. Zoe and Matthew's wedding day was full of rustic charm from start to finish.  I stopped by the house on my way to the church to get a few early shots of the garden set up.  The marquee had been put up in the field adjoining the garden.  The field was full of fire pits, hay bales and garden games.  Whilst inside the marquee was festooned with flowers and greenery from the gardens.  I met up with the Groomsmen and soon headed off with them to church. Zoe and Matthew had chosen to have their ceremony at St Michael's Church in Garway.  This little church is one of six churches in England built by the Knights Templar still in use.   The ceremony was followed by a cross country drive up Garway Hill with the newlyweds.  Garway Hill being the site of Zoe and Matthew's first date we felt it would be a ideal location for their Bride and Groom shots.  This backdrop was spectacular for their photographs.  The weather and lighting were ideal.   Then it was back home to join the guests for a few family photos and afternoon tea.  The marquee was full of chatter and laughter as the Best Man and Groom delivered their speeches.  Croquet, Jenga and Connect were in full swing in the meadow as evening guests  arrived.   All that remained for me to photograph was the cutting of the cake and Zoe and Matthew's first dance before quietly slipping off and leaving everyone to party the night away under the starry sky.
